DRAWN TO YOU
Working at an animation studio in LA isn’t a fairytale like the cartoons they make, and forget about dating—Hollywood isn't exactly known for its real-life Prince Charmings.
After losing out on a big promotion, overworked production assistant and aspiring artist Phoebe Nix is ready to leave her dreams behind and quit the industry altogether. But when Phoebe is chosen as a finalist for a pitch competition at work and assigned a mentorship with her industry idol, her dream of creating her own animated series is closer than ever.
Unfortunately, her derelict apartment’s explosive plumbing leaves her completely out of affordable housing options on her lousy salary. Enter not-so-Prince Charming, Sam Park, the notoriously aloof showrunner of the top-rated series at work who offers Phoebe his very charming bungalow as a rent-free place to stay… on one condition. Sam needs her to be his fake date to industry events to appease his Hollywood-elite father. Despite Sam’s enigmatic reputation, his strained ties with her new mentor, and the fact he’s a judge for the contest, desperate times call for desperate charades and Phoebe won’t risk losing this once-upon-a-lifetime opportunity.
As the competition’s deadline draws closer, fake dates with Sam turn into late-night confessions, challenging the image of the man Phoebe thought she knew. But as Phoebe’s mentor reveals his true colors and the lines between her and Sam become far too sketchy, failure would mean losing the only dream she’s ever had, and worse, the heart she never meant to give away.
